Who is Betty Davisson – by Olaf Dudek

It’s just after midday. The Tourist wakes up looking through the green glass of the Rose’s Lime Juice bottle that is on the table in front of him. His head is still pounding from the gin of the night before. The curtains in the hotel room are drawn. They move, gently, from the light breeze, now and then letting diffused light into the room. He has a terrible hangover and is tormented by the thousand voices from The Waterfront which eventually scare him out of bed. Outside, you can hear the afternoon sounds; the murmur of people and the honking of cars. He needs to find out who Betty Davisson is. “Who is Betty Davidson?” he wonders. He has to get up and get out of this hotel. He has to find out… “Who is Betty Davison?”
